The first Thanksgiving took place back in 1621 when the colonists sailing on the Mayflower landed on Plymouth Rock. On this day of thanks the pilgrims and the indians joined together to eat from their bountiful harvest of vegetables. The men went hunting for wild fowl and deer. And then they all gathered together to eat a wonderful dinner with one another.
